The SBS Celebration Gathering served as the Surrey Black Scholar’s closing event bringing together all SBS cohorts, the SBS project team, and members of the doctoral college to reflect on the programme impact and celebrate achievements.

It reinforced community, recognised scholar contributions and engagement, and aimed to strengthen communication between the SBS scholars and the doctoral college leadership. The initiatives and engagement within the SBS programme have paved the way for further growth in research and career opportunities for all Black students. We call the community built from this programme, SBS Legacy.
