The SBS Representative role (established in 2023) formalised student representation within the programme and wider institutional structures. Representatives acted as a liaison between scholars and programme leadership, contributing to feedback, decision-making, and program development.

SBS Representatives strengthened communication channels and ensured scholar perspectives were consistently reflected in programme delivery and institutional discussions. These positions increased visibility, agency, and collective voice of the SBS programme within the doctoral college. 

Impact for Scholars 

Embedded communication mechanism within programme design helped to ensure equity-focused initiatives remained informed by lived experiences.
